My Adventure

Sorry I haven't blogged as much but here I go...I have many things to say to catch you all up!!

First off--let's start with Easter. Friday as you probably know we went to Nick's. It was very fun. We did things we've never done before TALK!!! Well yeah we talk all the time but the things we discussed. Like the best way to work out...cause Rick is all pumped up now. We danced showed our best moves persay, and we talked about drinking alcohol. We weren't drinking but we talked about it. It wasn't complete though too, we were missing a few people, like Kyle, Kyla, and well I was missing Ryan cause well I think I just got used to him being there whenever I hung out with the group. But it was still an awesome night. Andrew seemed shocked still that I could drive, Bryan was confused about my lovelife, and everyone laughed and joked. Just like any other time huh?

Now than the Saturday my parents left for moncton and My brother and I were left to fend for our sleves that day and all through the night cause they didn't come home till well Sunday afternoon. That meant my Easter was a little strange not to mention I had to work that sunday as well. It was quite interesting. Made me realize how much I was actually missing from work. You start getting used to the people and knowing names...And than all the newbies come in!!! aaahhhhhhhhhh!!! Makes you feel really old!! I've been working officially at the Aquatic Center for 4 years! Well anyways on with my Easter story I got home at 3 o'clock and me still thinking I was getting anything for easter...and guess what is on the table.

-a small bag of chocolate eggs
-A large chocolate bunny
-some hair elastics (essentials when swimming and doing clinical)
-A scrapbooking album
-Some scrapbooking stckers
and
-a smaller bunny with Krackle crispies in it (it tasted good)

That night was than Easter diner with the family (Grammy and Grampy Estey). I feel more grown up know while at these family functions. I no longer sit at the kids table!! It's a new feeling! I am an adult!!

Well that was my easter to weekend but I have an even better story to tell you:

I'm calling it *The Water Adventure*

So yesterday I went to school, did my lab was finished around 11 am. I than traveled with Patti all the way to Saint Joseph's hospital to go and show our stretching video. (that was an interesting endeavor ask me about it someitme). The nurses laughed and we wanted to get out of there as fast as we could. So we than decided to go to Swiss Chalet for lunch (it was delicious btw) I only spent 10 dollars! (that's a good thing the rest of them had their bills at 20$) Well on our way back to the University we are driving down McAlister Drive and well you know how it was raining for like 24 hrs straight and there was giant puddles forming on the road. And well we're driving and Patti is like it's only a little water and thinking we've cleared the area that was really deep we just drive and ass we are going through the water and it is coming up and going over the hood and windsheild and the engine stalls. Yup we are on the road in the middle of a giant puddle. People are driving by us watching us, not stopping to ask if we need help or anything. LIterally we waited for fifteen minutes (laughing our butts off) and only one car stopped to help us.

That One person that helped were two young guys trying to be all tough and mighty, oh it's your battery, all you need is a boost. We kind of laughed because everything was working. The radio and lights were all working. (So we knew it wasn't the battery) But we thought it was funny that they wanted to help. So they drive up along the curb, get a little wet and by a little I mean a lot, while we are nice and cozy in the car. yes, we laughed because it was not the battery is was in fact the engine got filled with water. (the exhaust pipe was under water and everytime we'd try to start the car we would bring more water in to it. ) So we got a tow to Patti's dealer, than got a taxi to Sonja's car and than we finally got back to the University. We than decided just to go down to the hospital. (Because that's were Patti's meeting was and Aunt Liz was working and was planning to drive me home so I figured might as well meet her) I got to see the Family medicine floor. It was cool. I think that is where we are working come fall, or we are working in the other one, but I'm pretty sure it's that Family Medicine.

Well so that's it, I have nothing more to say. Except night and I love you all!!!

SATURDAY!

Yesterday was saturday as all of you know, well It was the first saturday in a while that I didn't have to work. I could spend the day by myself no one around, sleep in, and relax. Which is what I did. I slept in till 11:00 I decided to get up cause well you got to eat sometime. I showered, and than I dryed my hair and straightened it!

For those of you who don't know, because it takes to much time in the morning to blow dry and straighten my hair, I don't do it. I pull my hair back in a ponytail and leave it. So to actually do something with my hair. It was an event. Now the reason I straightened my hair and got all dolled up is because I went to a scrapbooking class held by a woman in the church. Dana had her friend from frederiction come down and teach a class.

So I did A page. I chose five pictures from prom and did a page. I didn't finish that until maybe 5:30 (meanwhile at home my mother is getting a turkey dinner ready) I lose track of time and next time I look after talking for and hour with Dana, it's already 7 pm. I'm thinking man I got to get home or atleast call, but in my head I'm thinking I'll be leaving soon so it wouldn't be a big deal. But than it turns out I just keep on talking with her. I don't actually get out of her house until 11:15 pm. My parents were very upset! very upset! so now I can't have the vehicle next time I want it! Yup, It was my choice. My own fault for not calling. So this is the lesson, if you ever talk out your parents vehicle call if you're going to be late! It was a very nice talk though. It was cool to get some insight on life and what's going on from someone older than you but younger than your mother! All right Chao!

March Break

So I'm not working as I originally thought I would be. I'm working Friday but that is it. No other day. It means I might get work done though. Yeah I know it would be a miracle if I actually got work done. I do have a paper that is due on Wednesday of next week. I still have a little more research to do on the subject.

So would you like to know what I did yesterday? (for those of you who said no just skip this section) I got up around well 10 am, which is sleeping in for a girl who is used to getting up at 6:30 each morning and than at 5:30 on clinical days. yes I do get up at 5:30 in the morning I am not making that up. Yes well that was sleeping in. Than I picked up a book. A regular non textbook book. Nora Roberts the Key of Light. A very good book I might add. I was pleasantly surprised. I know it's Nora Roberts and I should expect nothing but the best, and well I got the best. So that's what I did yesterday. Oh and I did clean my room. It's actually clean. Nothing's on the floor. Things are cleared off of my desk and dresser. And well it's clean. Now no one faint from shock.

I'm probably going to see the movie notebook sometime this week. I'm kind of torn. I want to see it because it's supposed to be a good story, but than I don't want to see it bacause it is a love story. I'm kind of in the stage of my life where I don't have really any love interest, and even if I had one, I'm not going to act on it, well atleast not yet. So I'm torn. Will I be happy about the story or will I just feel sorry for myself?? Even Kelley has a guy gong after her. I'm the only one out of the four girls who doesn't really have someone of the male species seeking her attention. It's ok though, I will find someone! Eventually!Well Now today I'm going to be doing a little more cleaning and reading the second installment of the Nora Roberts trilogy. Yup, and than I'll do some research. Yeah that's what I'll do!

Why is it that as soon as you start to blog quite regularly nobody want's to comment on your piece of work. I mean sometimes you put a lot of effort into what you're going to say in your blog, and when there is no response you start to wonder: I am the only one reading this?? Well even if I am, I'm still going to write, so HA to anyone who had their hopes raised hoping I would give up this endeavor!! No siree, not me! I'm going to continue on. Muwhahahaha!

Sorry about that I think I was possed for a second.

Now to more interesting things...MARCH BREAK (or reading break for some people)

I still have no idea what I will do this march break...I will relax that's for sure, but I should do something productive. Anything productive could work. Maybe I'll take up a craft of some sort. Maybe I'll try decoupaging (not sure how to spell that) Yes I will learn how to decoupage!

If I actually do it, I will take a picture and post it! You'll see. I'll have extrodinary skills at something crafty. Lindsay stop laughing! I know I'm not usually crafty but I can learn!

yes well I just took a slight break from doing my lab report I have to finish that now. I only have an hour and a half left to do it! YAY!

The Best phone call at 6:30 am

Yes, I do mean what I say 6:30 am. I was up showered and ready to go to clinical, about to walk out the door when I received a phone call from Naomi. CLINICAL IS CANCELLED! The best news I've ever heard in my life. Especially when you have to study for a midterm that night and for a midterm the next day. And you haven't quite finished your patient research. It really is the best news you've heard in a while.

So I didn't have to go anywhere this morning, so you'll never guess what I did...I went back to bed. I slept in till 10:30. Even an extra hour of sleep can do wonders. But of course, Once I got breakfast which included a bagel, a cup of coffee, and some sweet tarts. (yes, candy should be a part of breakfast) I was all set to study. I did do some reading, and there are not as many responsibilities that seems to be towering over my head. And I now can be much more excited for March Break coming up than I ever was. I wonder when everyone else's march break is. Oh well, I probably missed it anyway.

I've decided that my next big purchase will be "drum roll please" *insert drum roll*...a digital camara. That way it will be ten times easier to post pictures, and you can actually "see" the things I talk about! Ah the greatness of technology. "Is greatness even a word"

This is my free day...PS: I passed my health assesment in last night. Atleast it was in on the 28th of February. that's all she said. That it had to be in sometime in february. 10:00pm last night was still february!!

Now I have an interesting story to tell...As you know I am a nursing and well being a nursing student your family starts to rely on you to know what to do in medical situations. WELL!! I'm only a first year nursing student. But even than they still expect you to know what is going on and what is wrong with them.

Give me another 3 years and than I'll be able to do that, but not right now. Well that is the goodness of my day off!! I'll Blog again tommorow. Don't worry I've been keeping up! Once each day I will send a message. And it's not always going to be about school!
